Cop finds half-eaten tape worm in pork dinner

South African journalist Melanie Venter today interviewed a very grossed-out police inspector who discovered a half-eaten tape worm while eating a German Eisbein pork dinner in an upmarket restaurant at the popular seaside holiday resort of Gordon's Bay.
Police inspector Hennie Smit was enjoying dinner with his wife on his night out, eating the traditional German dish with gusto, he said. He'd already eaten about half of the hog leg when he saw the 7cm-long remains of a tapeworm dangling from the bone and curling halfway onto his plate. He said he still becomes nauseous whenever he thinks about the way that intestinal parasite was just hanging from the pork dish he'd just eaten from.
"I got up, tossed my dinner up in the toilets, and then reported it to the receptionist, who seemed totally unsurprised about it' he said. She also told him 'this had happened before,' he added.
The manager apologised and asked him if he wanted to order any other food from them.
The cop tossed down two double-whiskeys 'just get that horrible icky feeling out of my head' he said.

"The manager also didn't look at all shocked when I told him about the tape worm,' he said.
The restaurant owners, asked to comment, now profess to know nothing about the incident whatsoever.
